Course Overview

Crime Scene Investigation 1 & 2

How did the perpetrator commit the crime? This course will focus on forensics, crime scene and investigative techniques. Hands-on experiences include investigative photography, latent fingerprint processing, 3D sketching and bloodstain pattern analysis. Students may have the opportunity to have authentic experiences with local law enforcement agencies and coroner offices.

Crime Scene Investigation 3 & 4

This program is designed to provide advanced level coursework in Crime Scene Investigation. Topics covered include aerial photography, documenting wound patterns and causes, UV/IR photography, and 3D sketching. Labs include touch DNA, gunshot residue, advanced chemical enhancements, alternate light sources, evidence photo documentation, presumptive tests, and bloodstain pattern analysis. Students may have the opportunity to have authentic experiences with local law enforcement agencies and coroner offices.
